1. Validation of Assessment Centres
UHPAB ensures quality and compliance in training institutions through the validation of assessment centres. This process involves inspecting infrastructure, staffing, and equipment to confirm their readiness to host examinations, ensuring that trainees are assessed in credible and standardized environments.
2. Registration of Trainees
We coordinate and manage the registration of eligible trainees from accredited institutions. This process establishes an official record of all candidates due for examination and enables effective tracking of their academic progress across programmes.
3. Assessment of Trainees
UHPAB conducts national-level assessments to evaluate trainees’ competencies in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Our assessment system ensures objectivity, fairness, and alignment with current health sector standards and competencies.
4. Award of Certificates
Successful candidates are awarded nationally recognized certificates by UHPAB. These certificates authenticate the qualification of health professionals, making them eligible for licensing and employment within Uganda and beyond.
5. Research and Publications
We undertake and support research to inform policy, improve assessment practices, and strengthen training in the health sector. UHPAB also produces publications that disseminate findings, best practices, and data-driven insights for sector-wide improvement.
